Filmed in an immersive installation at Columbia University, the film reimagines ancestral rituals centered on care and female intimacy. Performances explore combines gestures representing nurture--planting and watering seeds, seasoning dishes, and undressing--with improvisational dance.
The installation references altars and dishes served during ceremonies and is made with materials: Korean silk, felted wool, herbs, food ingredients, plants, traditional decorative tassels and embroidery, plaster, cheesecloth, wax, and fiberglass.
