Photograph series, titled Gardenscapes (2017)
Gardenscapes takes place in an immersive installation constructed in the studio, made using materials: silk, red thread, plaster, plants, pigment powder, cheesecloth, and fiberglass. In the series, I transformed my body into a reimagined queer gisaeng, a traditional female courtesan and artist whose role was to entertain men in high governmental positions, exploring ideas of gender, sexuality, power, and conformity.
